+ Our Mission

The Sector Group's key objectives are:

to monitor the regulatory developments within the European Commission with regard to waste water treatment and sludge disposal and provide them with the appropriate information when needed;

to represent the industry with the regulatory bodies and trade associations active in the field;

to promote and defend the merits of the treatment of waste water with chemical coagulants by bringing forward evidence of their efficiency and cost effectiveness.

WATER PURIFICATION, MAIN APPLICATION
sea

Aluminium sulphate, polyaluminium salts and iron salts make up the inorganic coagulants range of products used for the treatment of potable and waste water, either industrial or municipal. Pure water does not occur naturally, other than in very small quantities. Most water contains impurities, either dissolved or in particulate form (microorganisms, clay and silt).

Inorganic coagulants help to remove these particles of contaminants by aggregating them in larger units which are then eliminated by sedimentation or filtration. Inorganic coagulants are also used for treating industrial process water and for sizing and retention in the paper manufacturing industry.

In municipal waste water facilities inorganic coagulants remove phosphate from the water.
