Council approves EU guidelines for safe drinking water and sanitation

On 17 June 2019, the Council adopted conclusions approving EU human rights guidelines on safe drinking water and sanitation. Billions of people lack access to safely managed drinking water and sanitation services. Climate change will increasingly affect water availability and access. The approval of The EU guidelines is one step towards the access to safe drinking water and sanitation for all, giving instructions and guidance. More information can be found here.
